Empty Glass

I can see right through it, just clear as can be. It is just sitting on the solid surface as if it is trying to become filled with something. A small, minuscule bug flying around the cylinder itself looking for a exit, but it cannot find it because the cylinder has only one clear exit. Its whole life’s goal is to be used to deliver an incredibly smooth beverage to somebody’s mouth. This is the story of an empty glass. Once the glass has held out its life purpose it is forever relaxed. This prompt of an empty glass was derived from the creative writing website. So although it is a short story, what else can you expand on an empty glass.
